Mountain's Edge in Las Vegas
The culmination of a dream long held by developer John A. Ritter and his Focus Property Group team, Mountains Edge contains over 12,500 lots located on 3,500 acres in the southwestern part of the Las Vegas Valley. The master planners goal for Mountains Edge is to provide a genuine sense of depth, character and community to everyone who lives here. This becomes evident from the moment you enter any of the master plans neighborhoods.
The spectacular desert canyon at the edge of the western foothills is the spectacular backdrop with much care being taken to preserve much of the natural desert environment. Mountian's edge has incorporated more than 500 acres of open space, parks and trail systems that will allow residents to truly enjoy their surroundings. Exploration Peak, a fully restored natural mountain park re-vegetated by the developer with nearly 10,000 native plants is one of the best features on this master planned community. There are trails leading to vantage points offering incredible views of the Las Vegas Valley. Recreational options abound in Mountains Edge. Mountains Edge offers 550 acres of parks, walking trail, picnic areas, a performing arts center, tennis complex, two multi-use parks, a skate park and two baseball diamonds. In addition, some of the Mountain's Edge parks will be themed. Plans call for a western themed park, complete with a native American archeological digging area, teepee climbing structure and totem pole seesaws. There are also a wide variety of golf courses nearby, hiking at Red Rock, watersports at Lake Mead, skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Charleston, shopping at the Meadows Mall or taking in a movie at a local movie theater.
